This blog is about viewing life through a holistic eye. The perspectives we choose when viewing all diverse situations in life explains a lot about how we react to such situations. The human being has a spirit, soul and mind encased in a body. These entities interact in a dynamic way, hence we are who we are. Life can be seen as a school where every experience has a lesson or two for us to learn. We are ever making choices at any point in time.
Recent changes in thinking show that more and more people recognize they do have real choices in life. Our choices affect us on a daily basis. We are sometimes pushed to the edge and consequently experience effects. These range from day to day fluctuations in our moods and ability to maximally enjoy life to in more extreme cases, even some form of mental illness.
Our thoughts are linked to our speech, actions (as in our behavior) and emotive being. Our experiences whether good or bad shape our personalities with time. This blog hopes to explore ways in which we have always done things and see if there are better ways we make adaptive changes in the choices we make. Making the right choice in every situation to enjoy life better as Jesus ordained that it should be- John 10:10.
A state of equilibrium, where we can truly enjoy life no matter how far to the edge we have come. In effect, living and enjoying the life we want.
Critical reflective thinking is necessary to explore the connections between our subconscious and conscious beings.
Simply put, many things happen (life events) to us that we cannot control, however we can make the right choices given the necessary information from God’s word, as to how we react to these experiences. And here lies the key we need to unlock our ability to enjoy life no matter what life throws at us!
Why do we do things the way we do? what makes us tick? why do we think in a particular way? why does it feel as though certain experiences selectively happen to us? we ask time and time again.
In sharing our experiences and thoughts, especially as we ponder on life’s issues through the light of God’s word, we learn from one another and better ourselves in every way.
So come on board and be a part of enjoying life the way it was meant to be.
